when you marry someone with a ridiculous surname! Hilary Conway wanted to be a writer from the age of five when she won five bars of chocolate for writing about a film shown in school. This led to a life long passion for both movies and chocolate, and looking back on it, she is sorry she just didn’t win money.

Hilary lived in the England for the first 50 years of her life before crossing the Atlantic to pursue the American Dream. She worked for many years as a journalist and columnist, before changing careers when she had her children. After that she has worked as a special needs teaching assistant, Weight Watchers leader and English as a Foreign Language teacher at an English university, sometimes all at the same time!

Hilary now lives in Naperville, Illinois where she has returned to her first love (although please keep that quiet from her husband!) She is a successful freelance local journalist and part time drama queen. She specializes in humor writing and during dinner speaking. She is available for weddings and bar mitzvahs, particularly if you need any help clearing up afterwards.
